Working Together: Governments, Businesses, Non-Profits...

What top problems should we tackle together?

How about the FACT that our Department of Justice has become a political wing of the Executive Branch that dispenses the rule of law on the whim of the President?

Thats not a "top problem"????

You gotta be kidding me...

"What kinds of prizes/contests should we consider to attract others in working with us?" Are you serious???? Now the Justice Department is going to start offering "prizes/contests" to "attract others in working with us"???? Egads, I knew this country was in trouble, but idiotic ideas like that makes me think we are in deeper trouble that I can even imagine. Besides, the JD is already handing out "pizes", by refusing ...more »

General Amnesty through Presidential Pardons

A lot of money could be saved by allowing all but the worst and career criminals get a fresh start. A lot of new tax revenue could be raised by the new tax payers joining the work force. How about pardons for particpation in civil works programs?

Stop censoring commentary.

You are exposing yourself as just a propaganda tool by only allowing comments that tell you what you want to hear. (And what you want your readers to see).

In one night, you have destroyed your credibility. Not exactly a stellar manner in which to market the idea of transparency.

Not "disappearing" ideas that people post would be a grand start

This section is labeled "Public Feedback" and yet you have already relegated my first and only other post to some "off topic" dustbin that I cannot seem to find. Apparently, you are not actually interested in public feedback?

Move administration of White House email servers to data center

Given past problems with millions of White House emails going missing, to comply with the law, the administration of the White House's email servers should be moved to an Information Technology department that does regular backups. There are data center backup and replication products that allow data to be recovered quickly and replicated to a second data center in the event of a failure in the primary data center. ...more »

No more "lost" pedophiles - with a cost effective solution

It's common knowledge that police are generally only able to find a percentage of an area's pedophiles to question when a child goes missing. The manpower and lost time is very costly when trying to locate them. To make location instantaneous is very possible, cost-effective, and could also prevent recidivism and protect children from future victimization. A list of an areas known pedophiles along with their current location ...more »

CHOOSING THE PRESIDENT'S CABINET

I believe most if not all of the president's cabinet along with the supreme court should be elected not appointed. This would prevent the president from rewarding buddies for favors with a job.

Separation of Commerce and State

Now that the Supreme Court has granted citizenship to corporations, now that Exon is a person and AIG is a person and Citibank is a person and Haliburton is a person, what is the point of me donating money to my Party anymore? If Exon could have financed both sides in the 2008 election with only 2% of profits, the Supreme Court has effectively nullified my tiny voice. The Government and Corporations have always worked ...more »

Develop an OpenDOJ Social Strategy

Disruptive Technologies: A Holistic, Pragmatic Approach New technologies are emerging at a faster pace than Agencies can swallow. The rate of obsolescence outpaces the pace of change. Despite the new technology flood, Agencies lack a strategy to on-board these disruptions. As a result, they often react, flounder, or simply ignore them. We can solve these problems in four major areas of practice: Leadership ...more »

Large-Scale Fraud Alleged in PACER & CM/ECF

Allowing more free access to false US court records is not necessarily an improvement. Los Angeles, March 17 - in response to March 17, 2010 article by Tony Mauro in The National Law Journal titled: “Judicial Conference Moves Federal Courts Toward More Public Access”,[1] Dr Joseph Zernik, Los Angeles Resident, posted a comment, alleging large scale fraud on the people in the implementation of PACER and CM/ECF at the ...more »
