I've seen other government officials do this, and it seems like a good way to show the taxpayer what the principal (Attorney General) is doing on the job. You could also link public calendar items (speeches, ceremonies, etc) to the event page, which would provide more detailed information and allow interested citizens to RSVP or plan to attend.
The guidelines used to make suitability/security decisions about prospective employees should be made public. This information should be made available so people are not unnecessarily deterred from applying for DOJ jobs.
Urge governments to publish granular permalinks for all documents on their websites.

The DOJ Library has digitized important collections of legislative histories that had been compiled by various offices and entities across the agency. They have been available only through the agency intranet, and yet they are of great public interest. These legislative histories should all be accessible, in an easily searchable database, on the agency Web site.
